Alix Desulme Appointed Mayor

Congratulations to Mayor Alix Desulme who was selected on December 13th to fill the vacant position created by former Mayor Bien-Aime’s recent resignation. Mayor Desulme has been very involved in the North Miami community for decades. I am so excited he was selected. He will work harder than anyone for our city. Also, city election dates have been moved to coincide with federal/state elections. Our next city election will now be held in November 2024. All current council members’ terms are thereby extended by 18 months. I’m honored for the chance to continue serving my beloved hometown.
