Welcome
In August 2023, I had the great privilege of being part of a mesmerizing business development & cultural mission to West Africa. We visited six countries in twelve days. Our visit took us to Morocco, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Togo, and Nigeria. The sites, the food, and the people were amazing.
I’ve posted hundreds of photos and videos from the trip on my social media accounts. Please take a look when you have a chance.
Building on the visit overseas, I’m excited to announce my year-long series of events: “Celebrating West Africa!” Some events will be in-person. Others online. Among the topics: Doing Business, Art Shows, West African authors, medicine, the environment, and…my favorite…food & beer.
Our guests will include merchants and officials both local & from the motherland. Stay tuned for a full calendar. It will be a joy for me to bring some of what I saw there right back here to North Miami!
At a time when African-American history is a topic of debate here in Florida’s classrooms, I was very fortunate to visit the “cradle of humanity,” where everything started.
