Join us for an inspiring evening of film, discussion, and community as we explore the powerful themes of Agroecology, Women’s Empowerment, and Leadership in Guinea-Bissau. Presented by AfriKin, this event features the screening of the film UNITE FOR BISSAU (Nô Kumpu Guiné), directed by Iara Lee.
This 40-minute documentary, a project by Cultures of Resistance Films, delves into the lives of remarkable women in Guinea-Bissau who are leading the way in sustainable agriculture and social change. Through their stories, we witness the impact of agroecology and feminism in fostering resilient communities.
After the screening, engage with the director, Iara Lee, in an insightful Q&A session where you’ll have the opportunity to dive deeper into the themes of the film. The evening will conclude with a cocktail party, offering a space to connect and reflect on the powerful messages shared.
